Meeting 57-cohort students specialized in Logistics and supply chain management of international career orientation

On August 24, 2018, the School of Economics and International Business held a first meeting with the new 57-cohort students major in Logistics and supply chain management of international career orientation.

The meeting were attended by Assoc. Prof, Dr. Bui Thi Ly – Head of School of Economics and International Business, Assoc. Prof, Dr. Trinh Thi Thu Huong – Vice Head of School of Economics and International Business, MSc. Nguyen Huyen Minh – Head of School of Economics and International Business’s Office and Student Affairs, MSc Pham Thanh Ha – Head of Advanced and High Quality Program Office of School of Economics and International Business, together with representatives of the School’s lecturers.

 

Opening the meeting, Assoc.Prof, Dr. Bui Thi Ly sent congratulations to all students who have been selected for Logistics & Supply Chain Management program. The Dean asserted that this is a highly practical program based on the needs of the society, with the aim to help graduates to enter the labor market in the country, region and the world in the field of Logistics & Supply Chain Management.

Continuing the program, Assoc. Prof, Dr. Trinh Thi Thu Huong and MSc. Pham Thanh Ha shared specific content of the program. They stated that International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA) take part in training and granting international certificate in the program. Students in Logistics and Supply Chain Management program who receive bachelor’s degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management are also offered an Advanced Diploma in Supply Chain Management, and have the opportunity to obtain an FIATA’s Diploma in International Transport Management at the same time. In addition, students enrolling the program can take internship from the second year in enterprises engaged in logistics and supply chain management with the direct guidance of lecturers and professionals. At the same time, they have the opportunity to visit and survey at enterprises in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and other countries in the ASEAN region.

At the end of the program, MSc Nguyen Huyen Minh once again congratulated the students who had successfully entered the Logistics & Supply Chain Management program. He also talked about university-level learning methods and disseminated information about the School’s student affairs.

The meeting took place in a fun and warm atmosphere, helping students have more enthusiasm before the new school year.
