Career Booth activities for students in School of Economics & International Business

With the desire to create favorable conditions for students of Economics and International Business School, especially second and third year students, to be exposed and apply their knowledge in the practical environment, the School of Economics and International Business implements the program “Talent trainee” which runs from March 2018 until the end of August 2019. The program assists students in finding opportunities to apply for jobs that are attractive, relevant to their abilities and aspirations. Joining the program, students will be trained knowledge and practical skills by enterprises. Besides, during the internship, students will be accompanied by experienced lecturers of the School with the role of professional advice and career orientation.

On June 23rd, 2018, Shool of Economics and International Business orgainized “Orientation and Career Day” to help students understand deeper about the career that they would choose in the future and create opportunities for them to contact directly with employers. The event honorably welcomed Assoc. Prof. Dr Le Thi Thu Thuy – Vice President of Foreign Trade University and Assoc. Prof. Dr Trinh Thi Thu Huong – Vice Dean of Economics and International Business School.

The “Orientation and Career Day” includes two main activities. The first one is the seminar “Sharping passion – Future Orientation”. Attending the seminar, there was the representatives of big corporation and many third year students. The seminar provides students the details information about career:  career trend, how to choose the right career, prospects for career development, and so on. In addition, the third students also received answers of their questions relating to the Internship program in this July and August.

The second activity is job fair. Attending the job fair, there were nearly 30 booths of famous and big companies in different fields such as Decathlon Viet nam, Lazada Express, DesignBold, Infore, Pepsico Viet nam, etc). These companies offered more than 100 internship opportunites in attractive positions for students. At the booths, companies interviewed hundreds of students to find the best candidates fit their desire.
