In the complicated context of the Covid-19 epidemic, the Admissions Committee of Foreign Trade University has approved two admission methods based on two options for the national high school exam approved by the Ministry of Education and Training and submitted to the Government on April 14, 2020.

Accordingly, if the National High School Examination in 2020 is held, the university will keep the same 04 admission methods as in 2019.

Specifically, with the first method, the university considers admissions according to the results of the national high school exam with combinations of subjects A00, A01, D01, D02, D03, D04, D06, D07, and the admission time is in accordance with the recruitment plan of the Ministry of Education and Training. In particular, the condition to apply for admission to Foreign Trade University is that the candidate must have an overall GPA of 5 semesters (excluding the 2nd semester of the academic year 2019-2020) from 7.0.

The second method is the admission method that combines the international certificate and the results of the national high school exam, in which the application condition is that the candidate has an international foreign language certificate and scores in two subjects that are not foreign languages in the combination. Admission to the university meets the minimum standard threshold as announced by the university.

The third method is the entrance examination method that combines the International Certificate and 3 years of high school study results (5 semesters excluding the 2nd semester of grade 12) for students of specialized schools within the time of recruitment expected in June and July 2020.

In addition, the university also implements the Direct Admission Method according to the regulations on direct admission of the Ministry of Education and Training and the specific regulations of the University.

In case the Government decides not to organize the National High School Exam, Foreign Trade University will coordinate with Hanoi National University to organize a separate exam with the same test method and content as the exam of the National High School.

In this case, the university will still apply for admission in 4 methods, in which the admission method for students of specialized schools and the direct admission method will remain the same. The results of the national high school exam will be replaced by the exam results according to the university’s combination examination method. It is expected that the university will organize registration on the online admission system from June 1, 2020.
