On September 21, 2018, within the framework of the course International Marketing of the Advanced Program in International Business Economics, a the Marketing teams (including international students from Germany, Switzerland, France and Italy) made a presentation in front of the guest judges from the business:
– Mr. Pham Vu Tung, former Marketing Director of Piaggio Vietnam and currently CEO of CNG (the official distributor of TIGI, Davines…);
– Ms. Vu Ngoc Thuy, from Interstellar Communication Agency;
– Mr. Nguyen Trong Dat, Head of Consumer Insights, Nielsen Vietnam.
The content of question/answer and comments from the guest judges, although sometimes have a slight twist to them, helped the presentation groups and the participating students have a clearer and more realistic view of how to state the problems, especially when approaching a very specific and non-traditional market like Vietnam so that they can make more feasible judgments and plans for the marketing problem of enterprises when entering new markets.
Linking training with practice is also a feature in Marketing teaching and learning activities, along with other specialized subjects under the Institute of Economics and International Business, for English-taught programs, as well as for standard programs of the Institute: the students not only learn from the textbook, learn from the lecturer, but also have the opportunity to interact and learn with experts from organizations and businesses. Students are encouraged to grasp opportunities from associations or participate in competitions inside and outside the school.
